Hey Divas!!!
We all know how it goes…Mirror Mirror on the Wall!!… But seriously, What did you see the last time you looked in the mirror? What was your reflection telling you? Did you recognize yourself? Did you ask yourself….Who is this person? I pose this serious question to you today, because we as women play so many different roles (wife, mother, daughter, sister, student, employee, entrepreneur, the list goes on) that many times we lose sight of who really are. Especially with the way we dress, It’s as if we start shopping in someone else’s closet, wearing someone else’s identity. We start dressing according to how society tells us a housewife should dress, or we start to emulate others through our style instead of being who we are called to be. We realize that we do not look the same and we do not dress the same anymore. ” . You know, when you look at pictures of yourself or when a friend/mate tells you “Remember when you used to look like that” I am speaking from experience. Being in the mall, one day, I remember looking at a mirrored wall and not recognizing myself. I started to question what happened to me… Who is this person, I have become? I need to find me!!!
Now don’t get me wrong, I know life’s circumstances take us on detours sometimes, like birthing a child, those major life changes, certain careers. I am talking about when we allow life and people to dictate and strip from us our essence, who and what we really are. Divas we need to EMBRACE, OWN and PORTRAY.… our individuality, that “thing” which make us dynamic!! Diva’s, we have to allow our true essence to shine through. How we feel about ourselves and the paths we walk in life dictate how we view ourselves, how we dress, so ultimately that becomes the portrait we show the world. The most important lesson to get out of this is BE YOU DIVAS! If you don’t dress according society’s standard for a housewife, BE YOU!!, If you don’t dress according to society’s standards…. period…BE YOU.!! There is only one person that can be the best you that you can be and of course that is YOU!!!. So take a moment to look in the mirror today and ask yourself that question. I asked myself that question and decided to get my unique style back .So when people see me, of course they see that
I am a mother, wife,and entrepreneur….......................................................... …………………….but most importantly they see ”Dell”!
